I’m a professional test driver and racecar driver living in San Angelo, Texas with my beautiful wife and two amazing daughters. We’ve called West Texas home since 2010, but I grew up in Richmond, VA - quite the change of scenery!

I started racing in high-school when my Dad and I discovered autocross at a local car show in Richmond. I autocrossed and competed in Baja SAE throughout college, graduating in 2008 with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Virginia. Post-college, I worked for Honda R&D, started driving with the Team Honda Research, and got into kart racing at Circleville Raceway in Ohio.

Work and the dream of learning to be a test driver brought my wife and I to San Angelo - home of the Goodyear Proving Grounds. My role as a test driver has given me amazing opportunities to learn form the best in the industry and travel all over the globe testing at iconic racetracks (Nurburgring, VIR, Road Atlanta, etc.) and proving grounds like the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds in New Zealand. I left Goodyear in 2025 to form my own contract testing business. I remain active in the automotive and tire testing industries with my main work being for a leading EV manufacturer.

During my time in Texas, I competed in National SCCA Solo events with my Dad and co-drivers Lane Borg and Deana Kelley in a wide variety of cars in addition to shifter kart racing in the Texas Pro Kart Challenge. I won two National Championships in SCCA Solo - 2011 in an A-Stock Corvette and 2015 in a C-Street Scion FR-S.

The desire to wheel to wheel race was strong and I switched to SCCA Road Racing in 2016 starting with the Touring 4 class and then on to my current passion in 2017 - Spec Racer Ford. The SRF journey has been amazing for my career - I’ve learned so much, met lifelong friends, and started a business as a driver coach primarily centered around the SRF community. In SRF, the cars are incredibly equal. As a driver, there is nowhere to hide a lack of pace or racing ability by buying more horsepower. The only way to compete and win races is to learn to qualify and race with the best in the country.

I’ve been fortunate to compete in the One Lap of America five times (2019, 2021-2025) including as part of a factory Goodyear effort where we campaigned a wicked Camaro ZL1 1LE followed by a Porsche 911 Turbo S. We won overall in 2025 becoming the first manufacturer team to win since 2002. Along with three other top SRF competitors, I began endurance racing with the World Racing League in 2021 with many wins, podiums, and a clean record. There is nothing like hopping in the racecar after two hours of sleep and a 1:15 AM alarm and driving a flat-out stint around the Sebring darkness!

In the Fall of 2024, I started racing and coaching with Lupe Tortilla Motorsports in a BMW M4 GT4 and got my first big break into professional sportscar racing! We’ve raced together in WRL, SRO GT4 America, and NLS at the Nürburgring. It’s been an amazing journey and one that will continue in 2026 with more trips over to Germany.

My over-arching goal in racing is continue developing as a driver and coach and have fun while doing it. I am still getting faster, learning every day, and applying these lessons to my driving and that of my coaching clients. I want to keep driving in professional sportscar series and to develop opportunities in IMSA, SRO GT4 America, and the NLS. Lupe Tortilla Motorsports offers outstanding value for partners (B2B, B2C) in IMSA, SRO, NLS, and multiple forms of grassroots racing.
